Scarecrow Festival Saturday 27th/Sunday 28th June 2020
We try to keep fundraising to a minimum, and coordinate with other groups who also need to raise money, so we’re trying something new this year.
We’re joining other local villages to take part in the East Cleveland Scarecrow Festival which has grown in popularity in recent years ( last year's website). Moorsholm is booked in for the weekend of Saturday 27th June and Sunday 28th of June.
As well as needing lots of scarecrows on display around the village we will be selling refreshments in the church hall and offering a plant sale. Our contribution to the National Garden Scheme was a huge success and the scarecrow festival has the same potential to showcase the village and bring the community together.
Your Scarecrow could be traditional, or represent any hobby or interest you have - fishing, Sci-Fi or anything - let your imagination run riot! There will be a small entry fee (£2 individuals and £5 groups) with a prize for the best scarecrow in the village!
We do need everyone to contribute in whatever way they can so please commit the dates to the calendar. Please fill in the form below to let us know if you will be supporting the event
